Our comfort room is a special room that has been designed to provide clients and their pets with a private, more comfortable area for their visits to our hospital. It has different features than our more typical examination rooms and can provide a more pleasant atmosphere for different situations. This room can be used to provide care for any type of veterinary visit. Our comfort room is most often used for consultations, visitation of hospitalized pets, and to provide a more comfortable and quiet area for end of life decisions and euthanasia of a beloved pet.

Our Comfort Room is designed so clients may have privacy, and helps to provide a more pleasant atmosphere for heart-wrenching situations.

Our Surgery Prep Area is used to prepare patients for surgical procedures. Our wet table and ultrasonic dental scaler are also housed in this room.

A dental prophylaxis, using our state-of-the-art ultrasonic cleaner, is performed not only to clean the teeth, but also to evaluate the oral cavity for any other problems that might be present.

The cleaning not only includes what you can see, but also the area under the gumline, which is the most important part. For this reason, “Non-anesthetic” cleaning is not a viable option

Our fully-equipped Surgery Prep Area

Our surgical laser provides a fundamentally different approach to surgery. In laser surgery, a highly focused laser beam can efficiently ablate (either vaporize or chip away) the living tissue. At the same time, it seals capillaries, small blood vessels, and nerve endings, with significant benefits to the patient.

Our veterinarians are trained to perform numerous types of advanced surgical procedures such as fracture repairs, cruciate ligament repairs, oncologic (cancer) surgery, complicated gastrointestinal and urogenital procedures, complicated wound management, minimally invasive procedures (arthroscopy, laparoscopy), just to name a few. Of course, both Dr. Holscher and Dr. Lowdermilk are very skilled at performing "routine" surgical procedures, such as castration (neutering) and ovariohysterectomy (spaying).

Our In-House Radiology Machine

Our In-House ultrasound machine uses sound waves to penetrate internal organs rather than radiation as in the case on x-rays. These sound waves are transmitted at a much higher frequency than we can hear. Depending upon the density of the material the sound waves hit, they reflect back in greater or lesser amount creating an image on a monitor of the machine, which resembles a computer screen. A hand-held probe is placed above the location for viewing, and provides our Veterinarians with a better view of a patient's internal organs.
